19岁就开始了自己的创作，《Australia》里的作品几乎都出自这个时间，又是一个年轻的才子。1981年，Howie Day，生于缅因州。和大多数80年代长大的孩子们一样，从小在父母的点播下学习钢琴，14岁的时候听凭自己的选择开始弹吉他,16岁就开始四处演唱，2000年自己制作了首张个人专辑『Australia』，2003年初推出了一张EP『Madrigals』，随后就被SONY相中，在7月推出了这张『Stop All The World Now』。
他的音乐深受Jeff Buckley、Radiohead和Dave Matthews的影响，因此你有理由相信－作为一个唱作人，他对音乐透彻、冷静的驾御。他的作品中所表现出来的自信和成熟超越了他的年龄。
第一次听这歌就被他清脆深情的嗓音所着迷，在原声吉他的哀伤基调铺垫下，一股简单单纯却真挚的情感就扑鼻而来。高潮部分动听飘渺，曲中的无奈和倦意可见一斑。感动的理由瞬间也变得苍白，那些生活的，感情的，足以不停的回味，在不断的碰撞中，懂得彼此的重要。
而这首歌也算是他最成功的一支单曲，被收录在很多很多的电视剧集中。诸如《实习医生格蕾》、《识骨寻踪》等等~
